The song has been sung for ages. Like a relationship that has gone stale or a natural wonder in our own back yards, the once inspiring words of Christianity's most compelling anthem have become common and everyday. That's sad. Ever wonder if the lyric writer tried any other ways to describe the undescribable?

Let me be the first to comment. Yes, his grace is amazing and goes beyond words. His love and concern for us is unending and always persistent. However, another word for grace could be this (misunderstood). In our culture anything that is an opposing view to certain lifestyle's or behaviors is viewed as right wing, conservative or not having tolerance. Sadly, many churches embrace this same distortion of truth and say that the church must have a big umbrella and not offend or cause anyone to feel unwanted or loved. The problem there is this...the Gospel will always offend when someone is living in contradiction to God's word by their words, deeds and lifestyle. The church should never close it's doors to the lost and hurting and should always reach out with the same amazing grace that saved us. Yet, I find it amazing how many will take Grace and suggest that it condones or allows for any individual to continue in a lifestyle that is sinful and contrary to scripture. His love and grace covers a multitude of sin...yet as he told the woman caught in adultery, go and sin no more. Stop practicing sin and by all means never call evil good and good evil. His grace will alwys be amazing and by some misunderstood.
