Sometimes we mean it. Sometimes we don't. Sometimes we think "love" is the best word to use when we enjoy a special meal or a good movie or maybe even a particular time of year. Love is a stronger word than we tend to remember. Maybe it should be reserved for the more important loves in our lives.

The song has been sung for ages. Like a relationship that has gone stale or a natural wonder in our own back yards, the once inspiring words of Christianity's most compelling anthem have become common and everyday. That's sad. Ever wonder if the lyric writer tried any other ways to describe the undescribable?

We planned for it. We expected it. The sun came up this morning and we weren't surprised. Sadly though, most of us missed it. We either slept through the show or didn't notice while we stared at our just-out-of-bed figures in the mirror. The good news, there's another performance in the morning!!

The Bible is loaded with sketchy characters and not-so-perfect role models. Chances are, some or all of them are somewhere in your family tree. Don't be ashamed of them. Embrace them! Show 'em off even. Opportunities abound where our weaknesses dwell. Listen in and learn more.

Sometimes you know you are a part of history. Most of the time you don't. I doubt that Nicodemus ever knew he was in the middle of one of the most widely known conversation of all time. Imagine what it must've been like to be the very first person ever to hear, "For God so loved the world..."
